Van Buren County Girls Basketball Falls in State Quarterfinals

The Van Buren County Lady Eagles fell to Dresden in the Class 1A State Quarterfinals 50-33 this morning. Van Buren County trailed by one point at halftime, but shot 28% from the field in the second half and only scored 14 points. The lone senior Riley Scoggins led the way with 12 points and six rebounds. The Lady Eagles finish their season with a final record of 20-11 and their second ever state tournament appearance.
