Spring Football Series: Cookeville

One year later Cavalier football head coach, and alumni, Taylor Hennigan is feeling a world different from when he took over.

It was just over a year ago coach Hennigan was trying to figure out names, culture, a coaching staff, scheme, and so much more as a first time head coach.

Now, most of that is settled. He has a twenty plus person senior class who knows the culture and the way he wants to do things. A staff chalked full of former Cavaliers who understand what the standard should be. Not to mention he has the off the field politics of being a head coach working in a rhythm.

Now, in the hot months, the summer, where no one sees them. The Cavaliers begin to put in the work required to win games, and a region, that according to coach Hennigan is the big goal. Win games, win the region, win in the playoffs.
