Sells’ 28 Not Enough, Wildcats Fall To Upperman

The Upperman Bees took down the Livingston Academy Wildcats on Friday by final score of 50-49.

Upperman held a 37-31 lead thr0ugh three quarters, but it didn’t prove to be a deterrent for the Wildcats. They battled to the last minute of the final frame, but a Will McDonald three at the buzzer came too little, too late as the Bees walked away with the victory.

Matthew Sells led both teams with a game-high 28 points. Nick Choate added 10 points, and McDonald scored seven.

Jace McWilliams led Upperman with 13 points, and Alex Rush scored 12.

The Bees will be back in action on Jan. 28 when they host Smith County, while Livingston will take on DeKalb County on the same day.
