With the regular season for boys and girls basketball hitting the home stretch, we will be spotlighting different Mr. and Miss Basketball candidates around the Upper Cumberland.

Today, we take a look at Stone Memorial Seniors Tessa Miller and Mattie Buck.

Miller has been a dominant force for the Lady Panthers on the block, as she’s averaging 19.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. She’s scored over 1,500 points in her career, and recently became the first player in program history to grab over 1,000 rebounds. She’s a three-time All-District and All-District Tournament Team member, and she’s already signed her NLI to continue her career at Belmont.

Buck has been equally important on the perimeter for the team, as both she and Miller were named Co-Defensive Players of the Year for the 2019-20 season. She’s been playing some of her best ball of late, as shown by her 17-point, 11-rebound double-double she posted against district rival White County. She followed that up with 18 points against Clarkrange a couple days later.
