Miss Basketball Spotlight: Clarkrange’s Kassie, Kaylie Monday

With the regular season for boys and girls basketball hitting the home stretch, we will be spotlighting different Mr. and Miss Basketball candidates around the Upper Cumberland.

Today, we take a look at Clarkrange Seniors Kassie and Kaylie Monday.

Kassie Monday is currently averaging 16.9 points, 4.9 assists and 3.2 steals per game for the Lady Buffaloes, and she has scored over 1,800 points in her career. She is a two-time District 6A Defensive MVP winner, and was named the MVP of the 2019-20 Region Tournament. She has over 400 steals in her career, and is a two-time First-Team All-District member.

Kaylie Monday is averaging 14.3 points and 4.4 steals per game for Clarkrange, in addition to grabbing over 500 rebounds for her career. She has recently eclipsed the 1,700-point mark, and was named the 2019-20 District 6A Most Valuable Player. Monday made waves at the 2019-20 State Tournament when she set the new single-game steals record with 11 against Huntingdon.

Before the season, both players committed to University of the Cumberlands to continue their careers.
