Lady Panthers Avenge Lone Loss Of The Season Saturday

The Stone Memorial girls basketball team improves to 16-1 on the season, and avenged their only loss on the season, Saturday afternoon with a 64 to 40 win over Science Hill.

The Lady Panthers jumped out to a 18 to 9 first quarter lead and never looked back. Defensively in the third quarter quarter Stone Memorial allowed only four total points in the quarter.

On the offensive end of the court Stone Memorial buried 11 three point shots in the game compared to only one for one from Science Hill.

Emma Capps, Annah Goss, and Tessa Miller all scored 12 points for the Lady Panthers. Mattie Buck also scored nine points and Keaton Frietag added eight points.

Stone Memorial plays again this Tuesday on the Road against Rhea County.
