Football: Wildcats Improve To 7-0

The Wildcats (7-0) continued their undefeated season with a 35-6 win over region rival Jo Byrns (1-6).

Senior quarterback Jordan Key followed up his Halls Hall of Fame performance last week with a three touchdown performance this week.

Key scored one touchdown rushing, one passing, and for consecutive weeks he returned a punt for a touchdown.

Key completed 7-8 passes for 99 yards and a touchdown pass to Kevin Borjas. Key carried the ball five time for 54 yards and a score.

Running back Mason Bowman rushed for 73 yards on 12 carries. Antony Soberanis added 34 yards on five carries and Michael Allred rushed three times for 23 yards.

Monterey plays their first road game in over a month against Bledsoe County next week in Pikeville.
