Eagles Struggle Offensively In Loss To Boyd Buchanan
Van Buren County struggled to score points in their 58-24 loss to Boyd Buchanan Thursday night in Chattanooga.
Head Coach Dustin Sullivan said the Eagles would be without senior point guard Jacob Guy for a few weeks after he suffered an injury against DeKalb County.
Austin Hodges lead Van Buren County in scoring with six points. John Allen and Ethan McCoy each scored five points a piece.
Brad Burke and Steven England each contributed three points while teammates Taylor Hillis and Clay Cox both hit a free throw for one point for each player.
The Eagles only hit one three against Boyd Buchanan’s defense. From the charity stripe Van Buren converted 9-17 free throw attempts.
Van Buren will play again next at home Tuesday at 6 P.M. against Clay County.
