Capps Credits Team’s Mental Toughness For Win Over Cookeville

The Stone Memorial Panthers picked up their second district win of the season on Tuesday, as they defeated Cookeville by a final score of 50-43.

The team faced some adversity late, as the Cavaliers hit two three-pointers in a row to take a 37-32 lead in the second half. After calling a timeout, Head Coach Neil Capps says he reminded his team that they couldn’t make that deficit up in one possession and that they needed to keep their composure.
