Bowling Season Ends Agains Blackman In First Match At State

Upperman’s boys bowling team dropped their third match to Blackman 15-12. The match was decided by one total pin.

“They are upset,” head coach Brent Green said. “I think they will realize later on that they shot almost a thirty five hundred series on a oil pattern that they never get to practice on.”

Had Upperman had one more pin fall there way they would have won the third match.

“We lost by one,” Green said. “I relate it to missing a foul shot at the end of a basketball game. They knew what they needed to do in that last match and almost did it. No one chocked. They all bowled really well. I’m just proud they gave themselves a chance to win.

Luke Pitman bowled a match high 264 for Upperman and Shawn Cooper added in a 207 for his third match high.

Daniel Holmes also bowled a 242 in the last match and Upperman saw a 191 from Logan Estep.
