Slow Start For Lady Cavs Basketball Cost Them Against Riverdale

The Lady Cavaliers trailed 19-10 after the first quarter against Riverdale Saturday afternoon. Cookeville outscored Riverdale 61-56 over the next three quarters but their efforts fell short as the Lady Cavs lost 75-71.

Riverdale found themselves at the free throw line 24 times more than their counterparts. Cookeville hit 8-13 free throws will Riverdale connected on 23-37 attempts.

Liv Shipman and K.K. Graves about scored 15 points for the Lady Cavs. Emma Webb and Jordan Gillies both contributed 11 points.

Riverdale’s Alasia Hayes scored 38 points and she hit 17-24 free throw attempts.
