2 Paterson Fugitives Wanted On Serious Charges Detained In Early-morning Sweep, Sheriff Says

Detectives from the Fugitive Warrant Division conducted the operation in Paterson, according to Sheriff Thomas Adamo.

Shakira Sparks, 23, was originally arrested at her Paterson home, according to the sheriff. Sparks was wanted on an active Passaic County Superior Court warrant for second-degree narcotics distribution/manufacturing within 500 feet of public property, Adamo said.

Authorities then detained Fontaza Cameron, 22, at her Paterson home. Cameron was wanted on an active Paterson City criminal warrant for second-degree robbery, second-degree burglary with intent to commit an offense, third-degree terroristic threats, and fourth-degree simple assault, according to the sheriff.

According to officers, both women were arrested without incident and transferred to the Passaic County Correctional Hub in Wayne. Adamo stated that the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to safeguarding public safety and bringing offenders wanted on criminal warrants to justice.
