Bees Run To State Starts Tonight Against Signal Mountain

Upperman (9-1, 5-0) vs Signal Mountain (4-6, 2-3)

The Upperman Bees ride a six-game win streak into the Class 3A playoffs as they host the Eagles from Signal Mountain.

Signal Mountain runs an old school Wing T offense. Upperman head coach Adam Caine said earlier this week that the thing that stood out to him the most about Signal Mountain, was that all three of their wing backs can really run.

Defensively, Upperman has allowed only 82 points on the season, just a little over a touchdown per game. Coach Caine also feels that his front seven on defense is the strength of his football team.

“(Signal Mountain) has some guys that I refer to as heart breakers,” Caine said. “They have some kids that are capable of breaking your heart and sending you home.”

Upperman’s run to the state championship begins this Friday night in Baxter at 7 P.M.
