York Volleyball’s Cali Franklin On Win-Filled Freshman Year

Tonight is the second game of the District 3A 2022 Volleyball Tournament for the York Dragonettes. During York’s first round game last night, the Dragonettes knocked off Coalfield in straight sets – less than one week after beating the Lady Yellow Jackets in straight sets to finish the regular season.

Tonight, the opponent is the Harriman Lady Blue Devils. York Institute swept Harriman in the regular season, and the Dragonettes are looking to keep the record clean.

Ahead of the matchup, we spoke with one of the players from this year’s Dragonettes’ volleyball team. Cali Franklin is a freshman at Alvin C. York Institute. Cali tells us about her adjustment to this level of play and what it’s like being a part of a succesful team so early in high school.
