York Dragonettes Basketball Set Up Chance to Snag a Gold Ball

The York Dragonettes basketball team will play for their second ever state title after beating Gatlinburg-Pitman in the 2A State Semifinals 66-65 in overtime tonight. With two starters on the bench after fouling out, senior Sage Smith saved the day with a good left-handed runner leaving 2.5 seconds on the clock. The Highlanders came up short on the heave and York found their way into the 2A State Championship Game. There, they will play the winner of Alcoa and Westview Saturday morning at 11. Hear from head coach Michael Green and senior Sage Smith after the victory.
