Wildcats Surprise This Season

If I had told you entering the final weekend of the regular season that Monterey baseball would have twelve wins, you probably would’ve remarked how nice.

Then asked me how many losses they had. The answer is eight.

The much more surprising stat is their 6-2 district record. Tied for first place.

No one saw a young and inexperienced Monterey team doing that.

Head Coach John Looper said though that if this team plays to their potential, this is just the beginning.
