The Monterey Wildcats stand at 5-4 on the football season with a 2-1 regional record. This Friday’s game vs. the Wartburg Central Bulldogs can be the difference between having homefield advantage or not during the playoffs.
A win tonight would solidify the Wildcats’ postseason standings, but that combined with the York Dragons beating Rockwood this week would clinch homefield for Monterey’s first playoff game of the year.
In this UCSN Feature, we talked to Senior Carter Charlton and Juniors Eli Saylors and Michael Allred. They told us about the energy the fans bring, the keys to beating Wartburg Central, and why homefield advantage is important in the postseason.
