UCSN Featured: Clarkrange’s Lamar Rogers Set to Enter NFHS Hall of Fame

Clarkrange Lady Buffaloes’ basketball coach Lamar Rogers is being recognized for his outstanding coaching career. This month, the National Federation of State High School Associations announced Coach Rogers as one of twelve inductees into the 2022 National High School Hall of Fame class. The induction ceremony will take place during the annual National High School Hall of Fame Ceremony at the NFHS Summer Meeting. The meeting is in San Antonio, Texas, on Friday, July 1st.

Coach Rogers was named head coach of the Clarkrange Lady Buffaloes back in 1976, and has accumulated almost 1,300 wins during his career. During his tenure, Coach Rogers has led the Lady Buffaloes to 26 State Tournament appearances, 11 championship games, and his teams have won eight State Championships. Clarkrange won three consecutive State Tournaments under Rogers from 1983-1985, then back-to-back in 1990 and 1991. Lamar’s teams also captured the State crown in 1995, 2004, and 2009, and finished as runners-up in 2008, 2015, and 2017.
