Miss Basketball Spotlight: York Institute’s Haylee Johnson

With the regular season for boys and girls basketball hitting the home stretch, we will be spotlighting different Mr. and Miss Basketball candidates around the Upper Cumberland.

Today, we take a look at York Institute Senior Haylee Johnson.

Johnson is the starting point guard for the Dragonettes, and is averaging 16 points, 4.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game for the season. She’s scored over 1,600 points in her career and if you ask Head Coach Michael Green, he will tell you that it’s her defense that sets her apart from everyone else.
