Miguel Mata Repeats Greatest Memory In Senior Year

When I asked Miguel Mata what his favorite memory from his first three years was, he was quick to talk about the school going to the sub-state game.

It was the further the Tigers had ever gotten.

With ten seniors, led by the two Mata’s, Miguel and Yair, this year they felt confident they would do it again.

That confidence was well warranted.

Mata created a senior moment when he helped lead Dekalb County to their first region championship, and therefore their first sub-state hosting.

Unfortuantely East Hamilton found a way on the road to upset the Tigers, but Miguel looks to play at the next level if possible.
