Livingston Academy Football Coach Dale Flatt Resigns

Livingston Academy head football coach Dale Flatt has resigned. Coach Flatt confirmed the news with UC Sports Nation and WLIV this morning.

“With us not winning I have been thinking all season; should I resign? My plans were to go one more season, but with the wins not being there I wanted to leave before the talking became too much because that is damaging to a program. I will finish this year as a teacher and retire at the end of the school year. I wanted to this now so they can get the best person possible to be the head coach,” Flatt said.

He said he brought the team together and let them know in person. Flatt was the coach of the Wildcats for the past two seasons. The Wildcats did not win a game in those two seasons. Flatt was asked to take the job after previous coach and AD Bruce Lamb left LA in the Spring of 2021.

There has been no word yet on who the next head coach will be for the Wildcats in 2023.
