Livingston Academy Athletic Director and Football Head Coach Bruce Lamb announced on Friday morning that he has informed the Overton County School Board that he will be stepping down, effective at the end of the school year.

It’s end of a 19-year tenure for Lamb in total, as he joined the staff as an assistant in 2002 and was a member of the staff in 2005 when the Wildcats won the State Championship. He’s spent the past 13 seasons as the Head Coach, winning 88 games in the process.

One of his best seasons came in 2019, when the Wildcats won their first 11 games of the season and took an undefeated record into the second round of the TSSAA Playoffs.

In the video above, Lamb sits down with us to discuss his career, some of his favorite memories and what he thinks he will miss most after leaving Livingston.
