Lady Buffaloes Win, Head To District Championship

The Clarkrange Lady Buffaloes beat Red Boiling Springs 62 to 39, Friday night at Livingston Academy, in the semi finals of the District Six, Single A tournament.

At halftime of the contest the Lady Buffaloes owned a 40 to 22 edge. Red Boiling Springs could not close the gap any in the second half as Clarkrange outscored them 22 to 17 after halftime.

The Lady Buffaloes knocked down eight shots from behind the arch compared to seven made threes from Red Boiling Springs. The Lady Buffaloes connected on six of their nine free throw attempts while Red Boiling Springs hit only six of their 12 shots at the line.

Chloe Howard, of Clarkrange, led all scorers with 20 points. Kaylie Monday added in 14 points while Kassie Monday dropped in 13 points of her own.

With the win Clarkrange will take on Pickett County for the District Championship on Monday night in Livingston at 7:30 P.M.
