Lady Buffaloes Rack Up District Awards, Monday Named MVP

The Clarkrange Lady Buffaloes earned a slew of awards at the District 6A meeting, as Senior and Miss Basketball Finalist Kassie Monday was named both the District MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.

Lamar Rogers was named the Coach of the Year for the District after the Lady Buffaloes wrapped up an unblemished 14-0 mark in district play.

Kaylie Monday and Chloe Howard were each named to the All-District First Team, while Monday was also a member of the All-Defensive Team.

Lexi Pierce was named to the Second Team, and Mattie Bush was awarded a Third Team nod.

Makenzie Pile, Kacey Sells and Addy Stowers all earned Honorable Mentions, and Stowers was named to the All-Freshman Team.

For the boys, Anthony Cottle was named to the All-District Third Team, while Haden Smith as named an Honorable Mention.
