Double Duty Comes With Experience And Lack Thereof

Michael Green is no novice when it comes to coaching up his girls for Lady Dragons basketball.

His success speaks for itself in that regard.

However, volleyball is a different thing entirely. York just began playing last year, and for Green it was his first year coaching the sport.

You can imagine the surprise then when the team found itself in a sub-state strictly on their natural athleticism, and one or two girls who had played the sport prior to last year.

Those athletes of course, at least many of them, were cross overs from basketball, which naturally transitioned well to volleyball.

Green understands that replicating last years success is a mountain of an uphill climb. However, he does believe this year can be holistically different as his girls will have a year under their belt playing, and incoming freshman will have played a middle school season with that program also getting going last year.
