Blue Devils Fall At Home To Van Buren Co
The Van Buren County girls basketball team trailed 21 to 16 at halftime Friday night in Gainesboro to Jackson County.
The Lady Eaglettes rallied in the third and fourth quarters to take dow the Lady Blue Devils 41 to 35.
Van Buren County’s Emma Scoggins led all scorers with 15 points. Scoggins hit nine of 14 free throws throughout the game.
Emily Allen added nine points for Van Buren County and Riley Scoggins scored eight.
Eight Lady Blue Devils scored on the night for Jackson County. Abigail Poston and Katre Thompson each scorerd six points each.
Ericka Davidson, Lilly Chaffin, and Jacklyn Agee all scored five points each.
Van Buren County plays again next Tuesday night against Sale Creek in Spenser, while the Lady Blue Devils host Clay County Tuesday night in Gainesboro.
