By Area Districts Electing The Best of Three Series Over Double Elimination
Some districts in the Upper Cumberland only have five teams; such as 7-A, 5-AA and 9-AAAA. Both 5-AA and 9-AAAA have elected to use the best of three series after the initial play in game rather than the traditional double elimination tournament. Monterey baseball head coach John Looper gave his thoughts on the change and what it means for how he approaches this year’s tournament.
