A Utility Player, On The Soccer Pitch

We often talk about the utility player in baseball/softball. The athlete who can play most anywhere on the field, and bat most anywhere in the lineup.

Not too often however, do you encounter a young athlete on the soccer pitch, that plays both offense and defense, and on both the right and left sides.

Jenna Mayberry however, is that athlete. Now don’t misunderstand, Mayberry, like any utility player, has her preferred spot she likes to play, and a spot she thinks she is best at, but she is capable of playing anywhere.

How does that work though? What are the x’s and o’s, the logistics of playing that many different positions?
