Free Throw Line Propels Lady Bobcats Over Wartburg

The Pickett County girls basketball team opened their 2019 campaign on the road against Wartburg with a 57-40 victory Monday night.

The Lady Bobcats made 18 of 22 free throws in the contest.

Abbi Bilbrey led the way for Pickett County in scoring with 18 points. Carol Ann Stockton added 12 points for the Lady Bobcats. Kyndal Ludick rounded out the double digit scorers with 10 points.

Chloe Burton and Bailey Evans each scored six points and Shayla Wood scored five.

The Lady Bobcats knocked down three three’s against Wartburg.

Pickett County will play again this Saturday in Smithville against DeKalb County at 4 P.M.
