Sells’ Scores 40, Wildcats Defeat Coalfield

The Livingston Academy Wildcats defeated Coalfield on Friday morning by a final score of 89-61.

The Wildcats used stifling defense in the first and fourth quarters to put this game away, as they out-scored Coalfield 22-11 in the first. This helped the Wildcats take a 47-32 lead into halftime.

While the lead was cut to 12 at the end of the third, Livingston’s offense erupted for a 26-10 advantage in the fourth to finish the win by a final score of 89-61.

Matthew Sells led the way in scoring with a game-high 40 points. Will McDonald added 16 points of his own, while Parker Coffman scored 11.

The win moves the Wildcats’ record to 6-8 on the young season, and they will play their next game on Saturday at 4 P.M.
