A woman who was previously released on bond for aggravated assault is back in jail after allegedly impersonating a police officer during a traffic incident in Far Northwest Houston.
On August 23, 2025, a deputy from Constable Mark Herman’s office responded to reports of a traffic dispute in the 10300 block of Louetta Road. According to investigators, Joycelyn Jackson, 30, became unhappy with another driver’s erratic behavior and exhibited her private investigator badge in an attempt to get the vehicle to pull over.
The driver initially obeyed, believing Jackson to be a police officer, but later challenged her authority and dialed 911 for help.
Jackson was out on a $35,000 bond for serious assault, according to a subsequent inquiry. She was arrested and put into the Harris County Jail on a charge of impersonating a public servant.
Her bond in the current case was set at $25,000 by the 180th District Court.
