Teen Trouble In Polk County: 15 & 16-Year-Olds Busted In Armed Car Burglary Spree Jake Grissom November 7, 2025 11:52 am Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd POLK COUNTY, FL—Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd announced the arrest of three individuals, two of them juveniles, in connection with armed car burglaries and the theft of firearms, leading the Sheriff to issue a stern warning about the suspects’ life choices. The arrests followed an investigation into the break-ins of vehicles where guns and credit cards were stolen. The suspects were identified as Abdel Cruz, 15, Angel Sosa, 16, and Deyvin Ramirez, 20. “Today’s suspects of interest are already making poor choices in their young lives. We hope they’ll make better choices before they end up going to prison one day,” said Judd. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspects allegedly took stolen credit cards and firearms from the burglarized vehicles. The investigation revealed that the 20-year-old suspect, Deyvin Ramirez, who was already on probation for prior felonies, reportedly used some of the stolen credit cards at a local Wendy’s, which helped detectives identify the group. A stolen firearm was later recovered at the home of the 16-year-old suspect, Angel Sosa. Judd also took the opportunity to issue a public safety reminder, urging gun owners to take responsibility for securing their weapons to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands. “Take your guns in the house at night,” he advised. “Quit leaving them in the car or goober smoochers just like this are going to steal them.” A fourth individual, Enoch Ramirez, was also encountered during the investigation and was detained for being in the country illegally, though he was not involved in the burglaries.
