Police are searching for a suspect after a woman was discovered dead in South Memphis just after midnight Sunday.
At 12:43 a.m., officers responded to a shooting at South Parkway and Main Street.
They discovered a female victim inside her vehicle with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased.
The suspect fled in a red pickup truck driving west on South Parkway.
Officers were informed that the man in the pickup fired several rounds at the woman’s vehicle near the intersection of South Parkway East and South Third Street.
According to police, recordings show the red truck pursuing the victim on South Third Street toward South Parkway.
