Victorville Man Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges After Routine Traffic Stop

A routine traffic stop in Victorville on Wednesday night led to a major drug bust and the arrest of 61-year-old Kim Eldridge, who now faces multiple felony charges related to drug possession, trafficking, and firearms violations.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, deputies from the Victorville Station Gang Enforcement Team pulled over Eldridge’s 1994 Toyota Camry around 7:21 p.m. on Seventh Street. During the stop, deputies discovered methamphetamine and Oxycodone pills inside the vehicle.

Search Warrant Reveals More Drugs and Firearm

Following the arrest, investigators obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 16000 block of Union Street. Inside, deputies uncovered four pounds of suspected methamphetamine, Ecstasy pills, and a loaded firearm, escalating the severity of the charges.

Eldridge was subsequently booked into the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto. His charges include:

  • H&S 11370.1(A): Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed

  • H&S 11351: Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance

  • H&S 11379: Transportation or Sale of Methamphetamine

  • PC 29800(A)(1): Felon in Possession of a Firearm

Investigation Ongoing

Deputies B. Moreland and D. Leon are leading the investigation, which remains active under case number DR# 172513049. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information to contact the Victorville Police Station or provide anonymous tips via the We-Tip hotline or WeTip.com.
