Two men have been sentenced to life in prison for the 2022 fatal shooting of Errol Scorzac III, 30, on M Street, according to Kern County court officials.
Anthony Guiterrez received 15 years to life, plus an additional three years, after pleading guilty to murder and gang participation. Andrew Espinoza was sentenced to 15 years to life, plus 3 years and 8 months, following a no-contest plea to murder and gang involvement.
The shooting occurred on January 26, 2022, when Bakersfield police responded to a welfare check and found Scorzac dead with multiple gunshot wounds. The Kern County coroner ruled the death a homicide.
