Authorities arrested two people in Kern County after they allegedly helped an inmate escape over the weekend.
Francisco Garcia escaped from Kern Medical on Saturday night but was found Monday at a Lamont home. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office confirmed two arrests connected to the breakout.
Officials identified the suspects as Jasmine Morales, 32, and Elektra Espinoza, 20, both charged with aiding Garcia’s escape.
Garcia had already been convicted of several serious crimes, including:

Conspiring to commit a crime

Attempted murder

Assault with a semi-automatic firearm

Shooting at an inhabited dwelling

Being a gang member carrying a loaded firearm
He now faces extra charges tied to the escape while awaiting sentencing for his earlier convictions.
