Triple Shooting Outside Philadelphia Bar Leaves 3 Injured, Police Say

Three people were injured late Friday night in a triple shooting outside the Moonlight Lounge in Philadelphia’s West Oak Lane neighborhood, police said.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire just before midnight at the bar on the 6800 block of Limekiln Pike. When police arrived, they found a 54-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Jefferson Einstein Hospital, where he remains in very critical condition, according to Philadelphia Police Inspector D. F. Pace.

Not long after, two other victims—a 35-year-old man shot in the hip and a 22-year-old man shot in the right hand—arrived at Einstein by private vehicle. Police said the younger victim drove both men to the hospital. The 35-year-old underwent surgery, though his condition has not been confirmed.

Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a fight inside the bar involving several unidentified individuals. At least one person pulled out a handgun and began firing, though police are investigating whether there were multiple shooters.

At least one firearm was recovered at the scene.
