Richard Dewayne Chambers, 42, will spend the rest of his life in prison after receiving three consecutive life-without-parole sentences for the murders of three people, including a double homicide in Allen, Oklahoma. The Pontotoc County District Court delivered the sentence on November 7, 2025.
The investigation began on December 18, 2024, when the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) asked the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) to take over a double homicide case.
The Events of December 17, 2024
Around 11:30 p.m., PCSO deputies responded to a suspicious incident at a residence near State Highway 1 and County Road 1512 in Allen. When they arrived, they found 84-year-old Robert Peliti Sr. and 70-year-old Jackie Peliti with severe injuries.

Connecting the Crimes
OSBI agents and deputies quickly identified Richard Dewayne Chambers as a person of interest. As they dug deeper, investigators linked Chambers to another homicide in Midwest City, where 62-year-old Annie Brown was found dead.
Working with several local law enforcement agencies, officers located and arrested Chambers on December 18, 2024, in rural Hughes County. He was taken to the Pontotoc County Jail on multiple murder charges.
Court Delivers Maximum Sentence
On November 7, 2025, the court imposed the maximum penalty: three consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. Chambers also received an additional seven years on other charges.
The OSBI thanked several agencies for their cooperation throughout the investigation, including the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office, the Hughes County Sheriff’s Office, the Midwest City Police Department, and the Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Police Department.
