A 2-year-old boy is in stable condition after being pulled unresponsive from a swimming pool during a family gathering on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and Fire Rescue units were called to a home near Southwest 116th Court and 238th Terrace around 2:30 p.m.

Investigators said the child had been moving in and out of the house when family members realized they had not seen him for several minutes. They found him in the pool and immediately began CPR.

First responders arrived to find the boy breathing, officials said. Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, where loved ones rushed inside as he was taken in on a stretcher.

As of Sunday night, the toddler was listed in stable condition.
