Thief Steals Phones, Attacks Worker at League City Walmart

Texas mother accused of locking 7-year-old in closet for weeks; bond raised to $250,000

The League City Police Department says a man stole several phones and assaulted an employee during a theft at the Walmart at 1701 W FM 646 in League City on August 10.

Reports indicate the suspect broke into a cell phone display case, grabbed multiple devices, and fled in a dark-colored Ford Fusion before officers arrived at 2:36 p.m. Police searched the area for the vehicle but could not locate it.

During the investigation, detectives learned the suspect attacked an employee during the theft. The worker was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. That assault elevated the charge from theft to robbery.

Police describe the suspect as a Black man, 6’ to 6’2” tall, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, camouflage pants, and red slippers.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a black Ford Fusion with silver-colored rims. The case remains under active investigation. Anyone with information should contact the League City Police Department at 281-332-2566.
