Texas man charged with online solicitation of a minor after multi-agency operation

In a collaborative effort to protect Texas’ young, the Socorro Police Department joined with multiple agencies to apprehend a man involved in the internet solicitation of a minor. The official Facebook page of the City of Socorro, Texas – Government announced the arrest of 34-year-old Justin Corley on related charges in a post.

After receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force launched an investigation in April 2025. Investigators seized a cellphone and a computer from the Harbor Walk Apartments in League City, Texas.

Forensic analysis of the devices revealed the presence of materials related to the internet solicitation of a juvenile, leading to the identification of the culprit, Justin Corley. “Our department remains committed to protecting children and holding offenders accountable when crimes affect our community,” Socorro Police Chief Robert C. Rojas said in a statement, highlighting the department’s commitment to child protection.

On August 14, 2025, an arrest warrant was issued charging Corley with Sexual Performance of a Child/Produce/Direct/Promote, and his bond was set at $100,000. The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Division arrested Corley in Houston, Texas, after the warrant was issued. The case demonstrates the value of interagency cooperation in community safety and victim justice.
