One teenager died and four others were injured after a shooting erupted in Lancaster on Christmas Day, law enforcement sources told NBC Los Angeles on Thursday.
The shooting happened around 1:09 p.m. in a residential neighborhood on Angela Court near Challenger Way and Avenue K, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities later confirmed the victim who died was a 16-year-old boy. Video from the scene showed first responders performing CPR on the teen.
The four injured victims included a 17-year-old girl, a 15-year-old boy, and two adult men ages 19 and 29. Officials said all four were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Deputies searched the area for surveillance video but had no information about a suspect.
Investigators have not yet determined what led to the shooting.
