A routine traffic stop in Tampa turned into a major drug and weapons arrest on Friday after Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies found a handgun, multiple controlled substances, and drug paraphernalia inside a woman’s vehicle.
Deputies stopped 36-year-old Shena Clark near the intersection of West Hillsborough Avenue and North Lois Avenue on Saturday. After the stop, they developed probable cause to search the vehicle.
The search uncovered a large quantity of illegal items, including:

7.8 grams of cocaine

4 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy)

238 grams of cannabis (nearly half a pound)

Four digital scales
-
A black Ruger 9mm Max-9 pistol
Clark was taken into custody and faces multiple felony charges, including:

Possession of Controlled Substance With Intent to Sell or Deliver (Schedule I)

Armed Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Sell or Deliver

Possession of Controlled Substances

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Clark is currently being held at the Hillsborough County Jail as she awaits further court proceedings. The HCSO has not released details about the initial reason for the traffic stop.
