Suspect Arrested After Cabazon Shooting Leaves Man Critically Injured

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left a victim in critical condition Wednesday afternoon in Cabazon, authorities said.

Deputies from the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station responded around 2:10 p.m. to the 49000 block of Seminole Drive after receiving reports of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition.

Investigators identified the suspect as Anthony Edward Cuenca, 43, of Chino Hills. Deputies located his vehicle near Seminole Drive and Malki Road, where they arrested him without further incident.

The Cabazon Investigations Bureau is continuing to investigate the shooting.
