An Orange County gymnastics coach was arrested on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with an underage girl.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department identified the suspect as 25-year-old Jacob Alexander Demmin of Yorba Linda.
The investigation began earlier this month after the victim contacted detectives upon learning that Demmin was still coaching children.

The victim alleged that in 2021, while she was a minor, Demmin groomed her while working as a gymnastics coach at Firestorm Free Running and Acrobatics Gym in Santa Ana and Westminster.
The victim said she and Demmin allegedly engaged in inappropriate communication and maintained a sexual relationship.
Following the investigation, authorities arrested Demmin on Dec. 24 on multiple charges, including sodomy with a person under 18, contacting a minor with intent to commit lewd acts, sexual penetration with a foreign object, annoying or molesting a victim under 18, and unlawful sex with a minor.
“Due to Demmin’s access to minors through his employment, investigators believe there may be additional victims,” the sheriff’s department said.
Anyone who believes they may have been a victim or has information related to the case is urged to contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Detail at 714-647-7419 or 714-647-7000.
