Last week, during a raid on an alleged drug dealer’s Bath home, law officials seized a large quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana and detained him.
Kevin C. Kratzer, 60, has been charged with two charges of felony possession with intent to supply controlled substances, three counts of misdemeanor drug possession, and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to court records, Kratzer was the focus of the investigation and was detained at a home in the 400 block of Pine Street.
According to Northampton County District Attorney Stephen Baratta, the search began sometime on Wednesday. According to the DA, members of the Northampton County Drug Task Force and Pennsylvania State Police acquired a search warrant after conducting an investigation.
According to court records, investigators seized 200 grams of methamphetamine, 175 grams of marijuana, and unknown tablets, as well as packaging material and $2,360 in cash.
According to Baratta, the medicines are worth approximately $4,000 on the street.
Kratzer was arrested on Wednesday before District Judge Alicia Zito, who set bail at $125,000. Kratzer was then brought to Northampton County Prison instead of being released on bail. According to court documents, Kratzer has now posted bail.
There was no quick listing of an attorney representing Kratzer.
Kratzer is expected to return to court for a preliminary hearing before Zito at 1:30 p.m. on November 5. A judge will next evaluate if there is enough evidence to proceed to trial at the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas.
