San Diego Woman Arrested for Stealing $100,000 in Under Armour Merchandise, Police Say

A 65-year-old San Diego woman was arrested after police discovered more than $100,000 in stolen Under Armour merchandise at her home, according to the Carlsbad Police Department.

Detectives launched an investigation in May after a string of thefts at the Under Armour store in the Carlsbad Premium Outlets. Surveillance footage allegedly linked Yvonne Tran to over 40 separate thefts, resulting in substantial losses for the retailer.

Police executed a search warrant at Tran’s residence last Wednesday, seizing a large quantity of Under Armour gear. She was booked on 10 felony counts of grand theft before being released from custody, authorities said.

The investigation remains ongoing, and Carlsbad police have not ruled out additional charges.
