San Diego Duo Arrested in Retail Theft Case; Over $1,000 in Stolen Goods Recovered

Deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station COPPS unit arrested two people and recovered more than $1,000 in stolen merchandise during a search operation targeting retail theft in early October.

According to the  San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed a search warrant on October 2, 2025, at a residence on Gold Coast Drive in San Diego. Inside, they detained Brittany Gomez (born August 8, 1989) and Miguel Dominguez (born October 21, 1973).

Deputies found numerous stolen items from Target and Walmart, with an estimated total value exceeding $1,000.

Both suspects were booked into the Vista Detention Facility and now face multiple charges, including theft of merchandise with intent to sell or exchange over $950, grand theft, and possession of stolen property.

Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the case to contact the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, which has not yet confirmed whether additional arrests are expected.
