U.S. Attorney Eric Grant stated that a Sacramento man has been sentenced to four years and three months in prison for distributing fentanyl.
Brayan Missael Nunez-Mendoza, 24, distributed approximately 1,000 pills containing fentanyl and para-fluorofentanyl to a confidential source in September 2022. The pills, dressed as prescription oxycodone, were sold for $2,500.
The Drug Enforcement Administration oversaw the investigation, with assistance from many law enforcement organizations, including Homeland Security Investigations and the Sacramento Sheriff’s Office.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America, which seeks to combat illegal immigration and dismantle cartels and multinational criminal organizations.
