Sacramento County Mother Arrested After Allegedly Attacking Her Child In Shower

Inmate Critically Injured in Attack at Wasco State Prison, CDCR Says

According to authorities, a mother has been apprehended after reportedly attacking her child in Sacramento County.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Angeline Avenue, off Fair Oaks Boulevard, in the Carmichael area at 8:30 p.m. on Monday.

Dispatchers received a report that a mother attempted to stab her 10-year-old child while they were showering. According to deputies, the suspected attack may have utilized a machete.

Deputies said the child’s father was able to restrain the mother until first responders arrived on the scene.

According to the sheriff’s office, both the father and the child were hospitalized after receiving stab wounds. Their injuries are considered to be non-life-threatening.

Deputies have apprehended the mother. Her name has not been revealed at this time.
